4 Tips To Penning The Perfect Wedding Thank You Note.

The perfect wedding Thank You note is extremely hard to execute. Here are four tips that etiquette expert Karen Thomas recommends.

A Gift NOT From The Registry

Mention the gift and how you plan to use it: “Thank you for the lovely vase. The colors match our fireplace mantle perfectly.” I can’t wait to fill it with peonies, our favorite flowers.”

A Monetary Gift

Refrain from mentioning the amount. Rather, use words like “generous monetary gift”, instead.

A Gift From An Acquaintance

Mention you look forward to meeting them. Furthermore, connect them with the relative or friend who knows them. “Thank you for the lovely crystal figurine. My uncle speaks fondly of you…”

A Gift You Don’t Like

Try to focus the contents of the note on your gratitude for the gift. In particular, show your appreciation of their acknowledgment of your special day. “Thank you for the rose bush. Each time they bloom we think of you and remember our special day.”

In General

Wedding thank you notes should be sent out with 3 months of the wedding. Therefore, you should order your stationery rather than store-bought generic notes. Generally, the wedding reception is a thank you to all guests attending. Moreover, each gift deserves a thank you note. Finally, remember that both of you (YOU and your partner) need to sign your names.
