4 Big Wedding Day Mishaps You Can Avoid.

4 Big Wedding Day Mishaps You Can Avoid.

When it comes to weddings, it’s a good idea to be prepared.  So, here’s 4 BIG wedding day mishaps you can avoid. These are the mishaps that, with experience, we’ve learned over the years:

The Not-So Perfect Look

Almost always one of the top 4 BIG wedding day mishaps always involves hair. Don’t do your hair yourself! Get a professional. Don’t get your hair done too early on your wedding day, and don’t wear it pulled back too tightly. Your scalp may start to hurt and you could get a headache if you wear a killer updo for too long.

The Speeches and Toasts

Firstly, NEVER say “For those of you who don’t know me.” It’s redundant… and by that time almost EVERYONE knows who you are. Also, if you have to give a speech, be kind and generous about the life experiences and past relationships of your friend THE GROOM or THE BRIDE! Trust me, nobody wants to hear those stories. Including the couple.

The Weather

You can’t outsmart Mother Nature. But you can work with her. Check the long-range forecast for the week of your wedding. If it looks like rain, run out and buy some umbrellas. If it looks like it’ll be chilly for the afternoon Ceremony, buy some blankets (they really are cheap). Moreover, take advantage of the tools you have at your fingertips and your guests will love you for your thoughtfulness.

If It Doesn’t Fit…

Ensure that you’re Groomsmen try on their formalwear BEFORE the wedding day. Most, formalwear rentals will have you try on the outfit before you leave the store. Double-check them a day or two before the wedding to make sure every Groomsman has the right color tie or socks or jacket. It’s amazing how some things get misplaced.
