3 Not-so Cute Wedding Traditions That You Should Avoid!

Here’s 3 Not-so Cute Wedding Traditions That You Should Avoid…. and they revolve around the cake!

Here’s the plot: The Sign Reads “Who Wears the Cake?”

At your wedding set out two glasses and indicate that the one with the greater amount of money gets cake smashed in their face during the Cake Cutting Ceremony. So, guests ‘vote’ by putting money in either container to determine who should get cake smashed in their face. Therefore, whoever ended up with more money in their container got cake in the face.

I would strongly suggest you reconsider doing this.

Without the couple peeking before the Cake Cutting Ceremony, guests “bet” on who’s going to smash cake in the others face. So, throughout the dinner the couple canvas the guests for their “bet”. Therefore, whoever ended up with more money in their container got cake in the face.

I would strongly suggest you reconsider doing this.

The couple decide together, that, instead of feeding each other for the Cake Cutting Ceremony, they will BOTH smash cake in each others face…. as a cute reminder of their love!

I would strongly suggest you reconsider doing this.

Let me explain: It’s the epitome of disrespect and I don’t think it’s cute, sweet, funny, or entertaining. Remember, the Bride is often wearing the most expensive garment she will ever wear in her life. Plus, she’s spending more money than she’s ever spent on hair and make-up. Then, it takes 20 minutes to clean-up and get back to dancing… if your still in the mood!

Finally, be nice. Have a Cake Cutting Ceremony, so that you have great pictures. Then, hop onto the dance floor and enjoy yourself! That’s the kinda FUN I recommend!
